After the display of massive superiority over all other lifeforms by the mammals when a catastrophe erradicated almost 95% of all species, evolution began the most importan project after biogenesis itself: sentience.

Experimentation with different kinds of mammal species (including dolphins) showed evidence that landbased lifeforms would gain the best survivability bonus from sentience.

Evolution choose the primate superclass of mammals for developing a new, advanced neocortex. Primates, related to pigs and as such very intelligent by themselves, had physiological advantages es well and so they were finally approved as the basis for the development of the ultimate form of life.

The project "homo sapiens sapiens" is not improvable by evolution anymore because the factors "sexual selection" and "evolutionary pressure" have diminished. Now the human species sees the dawn of genetic self enhancement.
