Bei uns wird er ja belächelt, der Wrestler, der Gouverneur wurde.
Zitat: |
"It scares me when a president says he won't support stem cell research because it goes against God," Ventura said Wednesday.
"I have news for you. If you're waiting for God to cure Alzheimer's, then we are going to be waiting a long time."

Zitat: | Tikkun: Do you think some element of spirituality is a plus in a public leader?
Ventura: It shouldn't be. But I don't believe an outspoken atheist could ever get elected, even though it shouldn't matter.
Tikkun: Do you have a spiritual side or streak?
Ventura: Yes.
Tikkun: Care to talk about that for a minute?
Ventura: No, that's nobody's business. It has no bearing on how or why I do this job. There's certain parts of my privacy that I won't allow people. And just because you're elected doesn't mean that the public has a right to be there. We were designed to have a separation of church and state, and that gets very cloudy at times. There should be a distinct separation. And that's why I believe that an atheist could never get elected.

"Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers." |
