There was Apostates of Islam, but that is closed. If you can stand a bit rougher tone try Faith Freedom International (click on the pic in my sig to get there).
Btw, I guess that is the wrong forum for this thread.

Thank you, yes I have visited Faith Freedom International but I didn't find it a good place for an ex-Muslim - I am pretty sure I met you there - though I don't want to reveal my name for obvious reasons 
I was really happy when I heard that the Council for Ex-Muslims Britain was established, because I have been desperately looking for a place to meet others in my position, that understand the psychological difficulty of leaving Islam and have some empathy and sensitivity to the unique needs of an ex-Muslim.
But although I have contacted them - I haven't had much response - and there is no Forum on their website.
I came here through a link on their website - hoping that some of you might be able to help.

Yes, I'm active there.
You also might want to try Murtad Mama's Yahoo Group. There should be a link on AOI to her site. I know that some FFI-members plan a new forum for apostates, but I don't know how far in progress this is or if it was given up (nomind(?) and sahara were planning it). Maybe they repair the AOI forum someday.
